Rebecca Allan is a New York-based painter whose investigates watershed environments of the Northeast, Pacific Northwest, New Mexico, the Gulf Coast, Lebanon, France, and Norway, and is inspired by her interest in landscape ecology, botany, and geology. An alumna of Allegheny College in Meadville, PA, her work is exhibited at James Gallery in Pittsburgh. She has exhibited both nationally and internationally for more than 25 years, and her most recent exhibition, Rain in the Arroyo, was presented this month by Meredith Ward Fine Art in New York.

Since 1993, Allan has been awarded artist’s residencies at The Camargo Foundation in Cassis, France (2016); The Hermitage Artists Retreat, Englewood, Florida; Centrum Foundation, Port Townsend, WA; Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, Amherst, VA and Dorland Mountain Arts Colony, Temecula, CA.
